THIS YEAR'S AWARDS WERE AWARDED TO THE BEST ENTREPRENEURS IN BIH

And this year, for the second time in a row, last night at the Courtyard by Marriot hotel in Sarajevo, in the organization of the regional entrepreneurial network, Women in Adria BiH, the Awards were given to the best female entrepreneurs in 2023. This year's winners from three categories are: Heiress of the Year Emina Tahirović, Markart, Perspective entrepreneur Vesna Krišto, Didaktik and Start-up entrepreneur Lejla Kraljević, Derubis.

The heir to the family business in 2023 is Emina Tahirović

This year, for the first time, we selected a winner in the Business Heir category, in which the winner was Emina Tahirović, from Markart doo. Emina is the heiress of the family firm Markart, a company from Sarajevo, specializing in accounting services and marketing, which her father founded 25 years ago.

During her studies in Economics, Emina began working in her father's company in parallel, and after graduating, she tried to combine her theoretical knowledge from college with that learned while working in the company. She recognized the need for improving the organizational and management structure in the company in time, and worked diligently to equally improve internal communication in the company, considering it one of the most important links in the company. After her father's death in 2015, Emina took over the helm of the company's management structure, strengthening their leading position in the accounting sector in the country day by day.

He likes to point out that their business journey is not only a story about numbers, but it is a story about young and ambitious people eager for knowledge, who with experienced mentors create the synergy of MARKART's success expressed through foreign currency: if you take care of the employees, they will take care of the clients.

"The big school for me was being with my parents in the company and learning from them. What unfortunately broke that positive circle was the information we received about my father's serious illness, and it directed my life's path forward. Although we didn't talk openly about it, I tried to take on as much knowledge, experience, advice from him as possible in that short time, from 2011-2015, and to be ready to take over the company. I am grateful to him for everything, for passing on his precious experiences, and everything he taught me in that very hard and challenging period, which helped me to be who I am today. And the motivation to grow and develop further," said Emina.
